"Jin Xuan Oolong is also known as Golden Lily or Milk Oolong due to it’s characteristic golden brew and famous creamy flavor. I was pretty blown away by the almost intoxicating flavor and aroma of this batch and after the first sip, I knew I had to get it up on this website.

This tea is an perfect example of what extremely high quality high mountain oolong tea. I highly recommend this tea for both the beginner and advanced tea drinker. When brewed correctly, you will be blown away, as I was, by the creaminess and lingering floral tones this tea can produce.

You can feel free to brew this tea a bit stronger than usual so that you will experience the full depth of Jin Xuan’s famous fruity creaminess."

Oolong tea is a tea that is made from the leaves of the Camellia sinensis plant. The word "oolong" is Chinese and roughly translates to "black dragon." Oolong tea is also a remarkably healthy brand of tea. There are many different kinds of oolong tea, ranging from fruity to earthy. It doesn't have quite the same nutritional value of white or green tea, as the fermentation process of preparing oolong tea can lessen its overall nutritional value.

Be that as it may, oolong tea is still a delicious choice that has plenty of health benefits.

Energy Boosting

There are small amounts of caffeine present in oolong tea. Since it isn't loaded with sugar and other unhealthy ingredients, this makes oolong tea a preferable beverage over energy drinks (or even coffee) if you need a quick energy boost. Oolong tea also won't "over-energize" you the way coffee and energy drinks do, so there is no actual "crash."

Preventative Against Cancer

There are antioxidants in oolong tea. Antioxidants are known for helping to prevent cancer, because they lessen radical damage to DNA and cells, which causes cancer. Steeping the oolong tea in hotter water will help get the maximum amount of antioxidants out of the tea.

Healthy for Skin

Back to antioxidants: the antioxidants in oolong tea are useful in helping remove toxins that cause ugly blemishes and discolorations from the skin. Oolong tea also helps protect the skin from sun damage caused by powerful UV rays.

Bone Health

Studies show that drinking oolong tea for extended periods of time can help increase the mineral density in bones. This also helps prevent osteoporosis. As mentioned, this can only happen over long periods of time, so there won't be instant results. However, living a healthy lifestyle and drinking oolong tea over time will help, as the bones start to weaken with age.

Helps With Weight Loss

Studies show that the polyphenols in oolong tea can help with losing weight. Oolong tea is also known to aid in increasing the metabolism, which helps the body burn fat much more effectively. Both of these factors makes oolong tea an excellent choice for those that are on a diet and trying to lose weight.

Reduces Risk of Cardiovascular Disease

There was a study at Kyoto University, in Japan, that confirmed that drinking oolong tea reduced the possibility of cardiovascular disease. The study showed evidence that drinking one to six cups of oolong tea, each week, resulted in a 22% cardiovascular disease risk reduction in females and a 38% risk reduction in males. Oolong tea is known for lowering blood pressure and helping to lower cholesterol.

Organic High Mountain Oolong Tea is a potent alchemical elixir with a broad spectrum of benefits for the mind, body, and spirit.

Unsurpassed flavor, potent protective properties.

Refreshing, Clarifying

In just one cup (sometimes only a few sips) of Organic High Mountain Oolong tea, most people tend to feel a profound shift in sensory awareness and acuity. It’s kind of like the fog just disappears and colors are brighter, smells are crisper, sounds are sharper, and thoughts are more clear, all while being rooted in a sense of calm clarity.

Calming, grounding

Tea has long been associated with a state of calm, focus, and reflection. Any examination of tea history and culture and this is immediately apparent. Perhaps this is due to tea’s high L-theanine content, the powerful protective properties of catechins, or perhaps some yet to be discovered alchemical agent.

Cleansing, Detoxifying

This tea is gently cleansing and detoxifying thanks to its potent antioxidant, mild diuretic, and alkalizing effects. Drinking this tea throughout the day helps to support a continuous detoxifying effect through out the body, facilitating the processing and elimination of metabolic waste and toxic byproducts absorbed from environmental factors.

Focus, Concentration

A nooptropic is a “smart drug” or “cognitive enhancer” and tea is one nootropic that has one of the longest histories of human consumption. High-quality Organic Oolong tea is a rich source of L-theanine and the benefits of L-theanine include increasing brain dopamine levels, while also increasing alpha wave generation in the brain. This translates into the ability to improve cognition, reduce mental and physical stress, boost mood, and improve overall mental performance.

The Original Tonic Herb, The Original Superfood

High Mountain Oolong tea contains significant amounts of chlorophyll, essential minerals, trace elements, and vitamins A,C, and E. Combined with tea’s potent antioxidant properties, these nutrients produce a truly alchemical health-supporting elixir.

Powerful Antioxidant

Many studies have suggested that the antioxidants in tea might help protect against many different types of cancers. Tea also helps fight free radicals, which can damage DNA in the body. This kind of protection sounds good because damage from free radicals has been linked to many diseases like cancer, heart disease and neurological degeneration.

Longevity Tonic

One of the most active constituents in tea is called ECGC, or epigallocatechin gallate. This unique flavonoid favorably alters pathways underlying many pathological processes. All of this points to tea as a broad-spectrum nutrient that may promote long life. Further evidence is that tea is consumed routinely in Asian populations, who have greater longevity and lower mortality rates for diseases that are prevalent in Western society.

Potent Adaptogen

An adaptogen is a natural substance considered to help the body adapt to stress and to exert a normalizing effect upon bodily processes. Many herbalists believe that the harder a plant has to work to adapt and survive, the more beneficial and adaptogenic its effects will be. This is one of the reasons why High Mountain Oolong tea is superior, as it contains many factors that may adjust the bodies functioning in reaction to environmental stimuli, to maintain a healthy state of equilibrium.

More Benefits

Nutrient Dense

Tea contains many powerful nutrients such as:
•Polyphenols and catechins – Potent antioxidants and super nutrients.
•Chlorophyll – Helps to cleanse and oxygenate the blood.
•Vitamin B complex – Supports energy and metabolism.
•Vitamin C – Reduces stress, boosts immune system.
•Vitamin E – Acts as an antioxidant and helps to slow aging.
•Flavonoids – Strengthens blood vessels and prevents halitosis.
•L-Theanine – Truly alchemical amino acid.

Healing The Gut

Consumption of Oolong tea is beneficial to the digestion in a number of ways. First it helps to alkalizes the digestive tract, which can be helpful for people with problems like acid reflux and ulcers. Secondly, Epigallocatechin gallate (EGCG) is the most powerful of the polyphenol catechins contained in tea leaves and has been shown to have an anti-inflammatory effect within the gastrointestinal tract.

Oolong tea also helps stimulate metabolism by breaking food down more rapidly, which is why some people promote it as a weight loss aid. Tea is also known to settle and soothe the stomach, especially after a rich meal with a lot of spicy or greasy food. Oolong tea also offers mild antiseptic properties, which can help eliminate bad bacteria out of the digestive system, thus deeply supporting overall gut health.’

Massive Research and Supportive Evidence

Supportive Research

Tea is likely the most scientifically validated natural substance, as a simple search on any journal will produce a massive amount of positive research.

For example, here are a few:

Antihyperglycemic Effect of Oolong Tea in Type 2 Diabetes.

The protective effect of habitual tea consumption on hypertension.

Epidemiological evidence of increased bone mineral density in habitual tea drinkers.

Epidemiological evidence for an association between habitual tea consumption and markers of chronic inflammation.

Increased tea consumption is associated with decreased arterial stiffness in a Chinese population.

Tea consumption reduces ovarian cancer risk.

Green tea and the prevention of breast cancer.

L-theanine, a natural constituent in tea, and its effect on mental state.

Psychological effects of dietary components of tea.

What Our Customers are Saying
The level of discernment and connoisseurship in the choosing of this tea as an art form, is abundantly present. From the finite beauty of the dried tea as it unrolls within the water, to the sophistication and antiquity in form, as each layer of depth is revealed. Hyperion oolong is a tribute to the time honored pastime of robust quality in cultivation, colossal distinction in comparison, as well as eloquence within taste. A refreshing renaissance of quality as a virtue in a time when the novelty of tea challenges the authenticity of market. Julian Grow
Owner, Ancients of The New Age
I have found that drinking this tea is a form of meditation in and of itself because the flavors and aromas are so profoundly exquisite. After just my first few sips I could notice a shift in my consciousness resulting in a deep sense of clarity, focus, and purpose.
Matthew Higdon
Owner, InSpirit Yoga & BodyWork
This is hands down the best tea I have ever had in my life and now it is all that I can drink. The first time Brandon let me try it, I was blown away and the next day I tried to drink some Organic Green Tea and literally had to throw it out because it tasted so muted and weak compared to the Hyperion tea. It is truly amazing stuff!

How Does It Taste?

This tea has an amazing honey-like quality, in the sense that, like some wild honey, it has an amazing floral/herbal bouquet over a sweet/savory flavor on the palate.

This tea provides a captivating sensory experience that is no less than memorable. Its character is very smooth, yet strong. This tea offers a noticeable amino acid flavor, offering a rich mouthfeel. It is further complimented by honey and orchid aromas.

The delicate astringency gives this tea a nice clean, bright finish. Many people notice a kind of cleansing effect on the mouth, sinuses, and throat. This really “clears the head” and enhances our sense of taste and smell. The refreshing, balancing and clarifying effect of this tea is quite unique.

Good tea can stay with you for hours as the delicate and sweet aromas fill your throat and palate! I really like practicing meditation or yoga after a good cup of tea as the therapeutic aromas really add to the enjoyment and benefit of such practices. This echo, or lingering, is characteristic of a high-quality organic high mountain oolong tea.

Size: 2 oz. | 56 grams

Dosage: Put t tsp or 4-5 grams of tea leaves in a 8 ounce mug, fill with 195 F temperature water and let steep for 3-4 minutes before drinking. After about half of the tea is drunk, refill with water and let sit for 2 minutes and continue to enjoy. This tea can be brewed further by simply adding water as you continue to drink it. Adjust amount of tea leaves used to personal preference.

How many cups will 2oz. of tea make?

A single 2 oz container of high mountain oolong tea can yield to up to 84+ cups of tea. Brewing in this way would bring the average cost per cup down to $0.60 – $0.70, which is quite a shockingly low number for such profound quality tea.

Here’s the math:

One 4 gram serving (about 1 tsp) could be brewed 4-6 times, more or less, depending on your personal preference and brewing style.

56 grams (2 oz) divided by 4 grams equal 14 servings.

14 servings times 6 comes out to 84 total brews.

This is just an illustration for what is possible, some people will brew more, while others less. Either way it is tremendous value!
